Kyle Sadler Business Administration Level 3

Kyle Sadler Business Administration Level 3

I have completed two National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) with Prostart.

  • NVQ in Business Administration Level 2 (2012 – 2013)
  • NVQ in Business Administration Level 3 (2013 – 2014)

I first heard about Prostart through a job application, they were the designated training provider as part of an apprenticeship that I applied and was successful.

I decided to do an apprenticeship due to being undecided with university and wanting to develop my skills outside of school. Having studied A levels for over a year and into my second, I found myself becoming disengaged and needing some other form of development. I saw an apprenticeship as that opportunity and found this to be a real success.

The main benefit of becoming an apprentice was the change in environment from being in a classroom to being in a work environment. Others included:

  • Developing new skills
  • Meeting new people
  • Gaining confidence

Prostart have been supportive in providing information and resources throughout my past qualifications and current learning. I have had access to lots of resources and my tutor has been helpful in making sure I’ve had the right amount of work to do, in line with my work capacity.

My employer has been supportive of my apprenticeship; they agreed early that I would continue with the organisation that gave me peace of mind for the remainder of the qualification. They have allowed me to continue with NVQs, which has helped me gain further skills, which I can bring back into the business.

Since successfully completing my apprenticeship, I have gone on to complete another NVQ (Level 3) and continue with my current qualification (level 4). I want to continually develop and progress within the business. It has been a very successful experience and I am keen to continue with my personal development.

Being able to learn whilst on the job. Many of the modules relate to the work that we do as a business so as well as learning; apprentices are able to put their knowledge into practice so it doesn’t go stale. I think, particularly when new to the work environment, that the apprenticeship and training help to increase confidence.

With the right individual and training an apprenticeship could be invaluable to you as a business.
