An Apprenticeship is the best way to keep on learning new qualifications whilst getting the support and training needed to be able to work in a day-to-day job. I decided to do an Apprenticeship because I wanted to keep on learning but I wanted to be in a work environment and an Apprenticeship offered me to do both. I feel like the main benefits have been that I have been able to gain experience of working and on the job training whilst doing further education and getting support whilst doing so.

Prostart have supported me throughout my Apprenticeship and were always there to speak to if I had any problems about either the course or any problems at work. I had regular contact from my assessor during workplace visits, telephone calls and emails, making sure I had enough work and if I needed any support.

An Apprenticeship is the best way to keep on learning and gaining new qualifications whilst getting the support and training needed to be able to work in a day-to-day job. My employer has made sure that I have had plenty of support from the team I was working on and could answer any questions I had. They have also made sure that I have had enough time to complete all of my units within a reasonable time and still had time to do on the job training. My plans are to now successfully gain a permanent position within the team that I was training on and to continue further studies within the company.
